Moving Heads have become a popular addition to layouts in the lighting community. Sequence Solutions is proud to offer moving head sequences with its new sequences. Over time we will update older sequences to include moving head programming. In addition, we will be offering the moving head sequences only for customers who may have sequences from other vendors that do not include moving heads.
New Moving Head Model and Effect
In 2025, xLights introduced a new model and effect designed to simplify moving head sequencing and enhance compatibility with a wide range of moving head vendors. This update has been a game changer, especially for users who import sequences.
To take full advantage of these new features, you’ll need to use the updated moving head model and ensure all parameters are configured correctly.
Below is a link to many of the most popular moving head brands along with their corresponding models. These models have been preconfigured with the appropriate settings to ensure compatibility with each manufacturer’s specifications. By default, the setup assumes that your moving heads are mounted facing to the right when viewed from the front of your display.
